Fox leverages blockchain for information traceability and AI content licensing
Story
FOX Corporation has announced a significant extension of its Verify protocol, a blockchain-based system designed to enhance the verification and licensing of journalistic content.
The newest phase involves a strategic partnership with TIME, a prominent global media brand. TIME will integrate the Verify protocol into its content licensing strategy, aiming to enhance the transparency and integrity of its journalism. Mark Howard, TIME's Chief Operating Officer, stated, “At TIME, we are committed to advancing our mission of providing trusted journalism for our global audience of 120 million people by embracing new innovations and pioneering emerging technologies—from blockchain to AI.”
The Verify protocol also facilitates direct connections between media companies and AI platforms through its Verified Access Point, creating new commercial avenues by programmatically regulating content access via smart contracts. Following its initial success, FOX plans to transition Verify from the Polygon network to an independent zero-knowledge blockchain on Ethereum, aiming to improve the speed and security of content attestations.
