Peterson Institute for International Economics
The Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE), formerly the Institute for International Economics (IIE) until 2006, is a Washington, D.C.-based American think tank. Founded in 1981 by C. Fred Bergsten and led by Adam S. Posen since 2013, PIIE engages in research, offers policy advice, and publishes on various aspects of the US and global economies.
