Kelly Light

Kelly Light, born in 1970 off exit 149 of the Garden State Parkway, had a colorful childhood surrounded by giant roadside dinosaurs, cotton candy colors, and skee ball sounds down the shore in New Jersey. Her early love for art was kindled by Saturday morning cartoons and Sunday funny pages which led her to pick up a pencil, start drawing, and embark on a lifetime journey of creativity​​.

As an author and illustrator, Kelly now resides in New York, but the whimsical memories of her childhood continue to reflect in her work. Kelly has illustrated two chapter book series, "Elvis and the Underdogs" by Jenny Lee, and "The Quirks" by Erin Soderberg.
