Workforce Development meeting 3/13/24
Training Providers
Who do we know, who Eric can connect with so they can come to a meeting?
In a few weeks Ken will come with some training providers to speak with us
Cyrpus Mandela is a WD organization in Oakland
Can we include Oakland, or only SF in GEO for now?
Use the Bay Area section: Alameda County, Oakland Region
Okur- AI Workforce Development (David Franklin’s Organization)
30 year organization and removed the “Now" from "Okur Now”
Mandela Partners- Culinary Workforce Development
Michelle Lenard Bell- Dan was on a panel with her in Dec, Mission Hall Hiring and they focus on helping with: construction, transportation and technology
They have a focus on AI
** Bay Valley Tech-**1000 people in Modesto and online who are training for online WD
Can they help build out GEO: work on 1 city per day and add all Non-Profits
Local coin might be able to help compensate students who work on this project
Could be a great project
Web 3 Start Up focused on Workforce Development
Dan’s friend was trying to connect with somebody else and found out about this project
With the DAOs we are focusing on our own projects but foster collaboration more deeply
We need to work together
Funding for these DAOs
Can the public see where the funding is coming from? Funding for these DAOs
Potentially having cards attached to the DAOs so we can have easier transparency for the proposals that were approved
Crypto Debit Card, Visa or Coin Base brand
Soon GEO will have on-chain voting, via Aragon Integration
Claims, and Counter Claims will have an option for us to vote on claims
Might be built into GEO and Aragon will just be for voting on DAO proposals
You will be able to sign up with your email to be able to vote on proposals
Verification Process
People may try to game the system, so we are going to have a verification process
1. Explorer: can own a public space
2. Editor: can own a private and public page (Can vote, but need to be verified)
3. Viewers: no log in required
April is GEO’s launch and then the Non-Profit space will launch in May
In Quarter 4, GEO will be have a way for donors to come and look at
DAO needs to give to 501c3
Becomes a routing tool
If I’m asked to vote, I look at it, and if it looks legit, I will approve it
Evidence Based Request
Go to GEO’s Housing Space, and donate to Dignity Moves
Financial incentive for organizations to fill out their spaces
Have Yaniv speak to better share vision
People need to find the organizations/providing services in their neighborhoods so they can donate
A lot of people with ideas who need a way to share it
They could write proposals
If we have evidence-based solution, we can show our proof of concepts to the Gov and garner funding.
