Corporeality and the NFT Market

  • Vision

The inception of Chile Con Carne is deeply rooted in Epifania de Gracia's observations of the NFT market. Epifania noticed a significant misrepresentation of corporeality, or the physical manifestation of identity and existence, in the NFT space. The digital art commonly found in NFT platforms often portrayed a narrow, stereotypical view of gender, sexuality, and identity. This not only limited the scope of artistic expression but also excluded a vast array of experiences and identities from being represented in this burgeoning digital frontier.

Epifania saw this gap not as a setback, but as an opportunity to create a platform that not only showcases diverse and inclusive art but also challenges and broadens the understanding of corporeality in the digital realm. Chile Con Carne was thus born out of a need to represent the unrepresented, to give a voice to those who have been traditionally marginalized in both art and technology.
