This class prepares students to enter the Construction Trades in a variety of apprenticeship programs. The subjects covered include physical agility, blueprint reading, industry awareness and opportunities in the crafts: introduction to the crafts and tools (hand and power); tool safety; and the heritage of the American worker.

Construction Apprenticeship Readiness Program applicants must be 18 years or older, have right to work documentation, a California driver license, pass an intake interview, and score a minimum of “7th grade” in math. Women and Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
