Goodness Village

  • Nonprofit

Our mission is to provide the Tri-Valley’s formerly unhoused neighbors a safe and supportive community to live independently, heal, and thrive!

Our neighborhood of 28 tiny home exists to provide our program participants (AKA our neighbors) the opportunity for a Fresh Start to permanently exit the cycle of chronic homelessness. We accomplish this through three crucial facets of the Goodness Village program: Independent Living, Healing, and Thriving.

Independent Living: All of our tiny homes have everything one needs to live comfortably and independently. Through the Housing branch of our program, we support our neighbors in maintaining a happy and healthy home. As long as neighbors pay their monthly program fees (around 30% of their income) and abide by their program agreement (AKA be a good neighbor), they can call Goodness Village “home” for as long as they’d like.

Healing: Our 24/7 Support Staff are here to come alongside our neighbors and provide guidance and resources. From helping our veterans navigate the Veterans Affair system and assisting neighbors get connected with rehab services, to making community meals and creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere; our Support Staff create the wrap-around service that our neighbors need to build a safe and supportive community.

Thriving: It’s never too late to become the person you are meant to be, and that’s why we help our neighbors become the best versions of themselves. The crucial piece is realizing this looks different for everyone.

For some neighbors, thriving looks like overcoming a chemical dependency and reconnecting with family. For others, it’s building new life skills through our Vocational Training Program and taking them to a new job. And still for others, living life comfortable during their twilight years is thriving.
