Paragraph 1 - Welcome to Geo

Hello. Today, I'm going to guide you through creating your Space on Geo.Hello. Today, I'm going to guide you through creating your Space on Geo

Paragraph 2 - Initial set up

To begin engaging with the Geo platform, it's essential to have a Web3 wallet like Metamask.

Set up this wallet on the Polygon Network (formerly known as MATIC).

Ensure that you have a minimum balance of 5 Matic in your wallet and have completed at least two transactions.

Paragraph 3 - Creating your Geo account

Let's start by visiting geobrowser.io

Launch the app (Geo Genesis).

Connect your wallet

You'll be prompted to create your Geo Account

Just click on "Start" button

You can choose between 3 types of spaces

Today, I’ll walk you through creating a person space

Click on "Person" and then click on "Continue" button

Name your account

And upload a personalized avatar. Choose a square image, the ideal size for this image should be at least 500x500 pixels to ensure clarity and visibility.

Hit "Create Account"

Halfway into the process, your wallet will automatically open and you will need to sign the transaction.

When the process of creating your space is finished

You just have to click on the "Go to my personal space" button

Paragraph 4 - Navigating your space

In your space, on the top left, the GEO Logo and the three dots icon are your primary navigation tools.

They lead to the "All Spaces" page, providing an overview of the main spaces within the GEO platform.

The interface on the top right includes a search bar allowing you to access to the browser

icons for Browse Mode and Edit Mode, allowing you to read and modify content respectively.

I will explain at the end of the tutorial the use of the clock icon

The other 3 dots icon next to it, is named View data

and allows you to access and review all your space data

Paragraph 5 - Editing your space

Enter Edit Mode, click on the pencil icon located at the top right corner of your Geo space

This switches your interface to "Edit mode". Allowing you to make changes and add content.

First, writing a captivating description. It is important to keep your description concise, ideally not exceeding 80 words.

"Welcome to my space! I'm Tara, a storyteller passionate about connecting with others,"

Sets a friendly and engaging tone for my visitors.

Now we'll upload the perfect cover image. An image with a 3:1 aspect ratio, similar to a Twitter banner, works well.

However, for the optimal fit on Geo, the ideal size is precisely 1192px by 320px.

Utilize tools like Canva or Photoshop to adjust your image to these specific dimensions.

To avoid any copyright issues, it is best to use images that you own or have created yourself.

Alternatively, you can use images made with AI tools, as these are generally free from copyright restrictions

I will add my professional roles, which are CEO and Storyteller.

These 2 roles already exist in the root space, I just select them.

I'll aggregate one project in the projects field. To aggregate my project, I need to create a New Entity

To do this, I write the project name, below the field where I'm writing appears a thumbnail which contains the icon "Create a new entity"

I click on it and the entity is created. Now I just click on "Storytelling in Santiago", and a new page opens automatically

Paragraph 6 - Editing a project

To effectively edit my project, I will redact a brief description

Aggregate an avatar and cover as we have seen before.

Include links to the specific social media platforms that your project uses.

Don't forget to add a contact email.

Paragraph 7 - Review and Publish

Now, I need to publish my editions so they are registered on Geo.

Click on "Review edits" button

Clicking this button opens a window that displays all the changes you've made.

"X" Logo, clicking this icon allows you to exit the review process and return to your editing area if you need to make further changes or corrections.

Delete all option 1

At the top right, this option enables you to erase all the edits you've made in one go.

Delete all option 2

This allows for the removal of edits from a specific section only.

Delete all option 3

Use this to selectively delete certain edits of your choice.

"Publish button", this button is initially inactive, displayed as grey. To activate it, enter a proposal name consisting of at least 4 letters. This step is crucial as it identifies your set of changes.

Once you are completely satisfied with your edits and ready for them to be seen publicly, click this button to initiate the publishing process.

Upon clicking "Publish", your wallet will automatically open. You need to sign the transaction as a form of authentication.

After the transaction is signed, your changes are added to The Graph and published on Geo.

From this point, anyone accessing your space or project will see the updates you have made.

Paragraph 8 - Final

Switch to Browse mode, this is the default viewing mode on Geo. That allows you to see your space or project as it appears to other users.

Last, check publication history. To review the history of all your publications, you can click on the small "clock" icon. This feature gives you access to a comprehensive log of all the changes and updates you've made. It serves as a valuable record for tracking your edits

Understanding how your space or project has evolved and maintaining transparency with your audience.

Thank you very much for watching. Stay tuned for our upcoming tutorials!
