Ukraine to receive F-16 jets from Denmark and Netherlands; Russia reports Moscow drone attack

Ukraine is set to receive F-16 fighter jets from Denmark and the Netherlands, with approval from the United States, as conveyed by an unnamed U.S. official and reported by Reuters. The deployment of the jets will follow the completion of pilot training, as mentioned in the report.

Ukraine has persistently sought support from its Western allies for the acquisition of these warplanes. While U.S. President Joe Biden had agreed to train Ukrainian pilots in May, a specific timeline for the delivery of the aircraft had not been established.

In a separate development, Germany has fulfilled its commitment to provide Ukraine with two IRIS-T air defense systems. This delivery comes after Germany's initial agreement to supply these weapons to Ukraine in June 2022.

Concurrently, Moscow has reported a drone attack targeting a non-residential building in close proximity to the Kremlin. Officials have indicated that the drone was successfully intercepted and no casualties were incurred as a result of the incident.
