Two Key Players In Donald Trump's Election Subversion Case Surrender to Charges, With the Former POTUS Reportedly Soon to Follow
According to CNN, Giuliani posted a $150,000 bond, while Powell agreed to a $100,000 bond. Another individual, Kenneth Chesebro, also surrendered due to his role in the alleged scheme to invalidate the election outcomes in Georgia. Alongside these three, as well as Trump himself, a total of 15 other people are facing charges brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. These charges are related to their alleged involvement in a plot to manipulate Georgia's election proceedings.
CNN has reported that Donald Trump is intending to surrender himself on the following day and will comply with a $200,000 bond requirement. The deadline for all 19 individuals implicated in the case to surrender is by the end of the week. It remains to be seen whether Trump will adhere to the legal process this time or continue to challenge norms as he has done in the past.
