Ismail Haniyeh
Ismail Haniyeh is a Palestinian politician who has served as the Prime Minister of the State of Palestine in Gaza Strip since 2007. He was born in 1961 in Al-Shati refugee camp in the Gaza Strip and studied finance in Egypt before becoming an active member of the Hamas movement. Haniyeh has been a controversial figure in Israeli-Palestinian politics due to his support for armed resistance against Israel.
