Holy Water Project and Real-World Use Cases

• Presenter: Zae

• Focus on providing laundry services in areas where laundromats have closed

• Use case involving technology and language translation on a bus.

• The goal is to connect with unhoused or marginally housed people and support them in achieving their goals: housing, food, career, etc

• In addition to a free laundry service, there will be 1 on 1 time to talk to a social worker/housing navigator while people wait for their laundry to finish

Addressing Complex Needs and Micro Laundry Plans

• Challenges faced by individuals living on the streets

• Plans for a micro laundry facility funded by grants

• Collaboration on Tree Ring and Holy Water data

Discussion on Program Model and Volunteer Opportunities

• Meeting with Paul Harkin and touring a substance sobering center

• Need for volunteers, especially with grant writing experience

• Tyrice expresses interest in volunteering for Holy Water

**Discussion on We *❤️* SF and Organizational Progress**

• Collaboration possibilities at We ❤️ SF

• Securing potential grants

• Seeking high quality, dignified programs for referrals

• Our first year of operation we will be self-funded

• Our second year we will open up to receive philanthropy donations

• Grants will be considered for the third year

• Potential site in North Oakland for an interim tiny house village

Community Outreach Events Recap

• Updates on Pancakes in the Park and Big Serve Day

• Pancakes in the Park: a large turn out of community members and we saw some interpersonal conflict within this group

• One community member left the area before receiving his coffee and pancake

• Big Serve Day was successful despite our hair braider needing to rain check due to a family emergency

• Our Housing Navigation Booth helped 9 people apply for and start organizing their documents and plan for permanent affordable housing

• Urban Exchange outreach event was positive despite being located next to an aggressive religious person who was shouting angrily

• The items in the hygiene kits were very nice, but volunteers would have benefited from more guidance on how many to give one person and to redirect people who aren’t unhoused from receiving them

• Urban Exchange shared their need for storage space for outreach items

• Paul is reaching out to City Serve to see if they can support with this

Storage Solutions for Urban Exchange Outreach Items

• Potential locations in San Francisco and Oakland

• Proposal to use Christian hung and mobilized love's warehouses for storage

Discussion on Outreach Strategy

• Strategy behind We ❤️ SF and reaching non-native individuals in need

• Importance of building relationships and team efforts

• Plans for upcoming outreach events with YWAM and RecoveryDao

Planning for Outreach Events

• There will be a “Reimagining Recovery” dinner YWAM’s community room after June 6th Street Outreach Walk

• Documentary interview and dinner event to demystify recovery.

• Privacy concerns and storytelling project excitement

• AJ from Light Venture Films might be the first speaker at these recurring dinners

Planning Community Events and DAO Funds

• Promoting events involving a similar, but more organic approach vs typical N.A. and A.A meetings

• Considering what aspects of Reimagine Recovery the different DAOs will sponsor

• For example, will The Recovery DAO cover all of the costs? Are we set up to send those DAO funds to people for reimbursement?

• The Street Outreach DAO can cover the cost of a rideshare service to bring 3 recovery advocates from the Salvation Army’s Harbor Light to the dinner at YWAM
