Mr. Brainwash
Guetta moved to Los Angeles in the 1980s and initially embarked on a career in the clothing industry. His interest in street art began when he started filming street artists, including Shepard Fairey and Invader, for a documentary project.
His association with the renowned street artist Banksy led to the creation of the documentary "Exit Through the Gift Shop." The film, which premiered in 2010, chronicles Guetta's transformation from a filmmaker to a street artist, with Banksy turning the camera on Guetta.
Following the documentary's release, Guetta adopted the moniker "Mr. Brainwash" and held his first major art show in Los Angeles. His works often draw from pop culture icons and are characterized by their vibrant colors and mixed media techniques.
Mr. Brainwash's art has been showcased in various exhibitions worldwide, and he has collaborated with multiple brands and musicians for unique projects.
