The Graph Council is a stakeholder body that governs over The Graph's protocol smart contracts and The Graph Foundation treasury. Its mandate is to balance the needs of stakeholders and to ensure that protocol changes and treasury utilization serves the current and future users of The Graph.

The Graph Council carries out its mandate by overseeing several core functions:

  • The Graph Foundation Operations

  • Grants and Ecosystem Funding

  • Protocol Upgrades

  • Protocol Parameterization

  • Emergency Protocol Operations
