Mission

CFIUS is an interagency committee authorized to review certain transactions involving foreign investment in the United States and certain real estate transactions by foreign persons, in order to determine the effect of such transactions on the national security of the United States.

Positions

A CFIUS review of SUN Group’s bid for Forbes is also warranted given the platform it could potentially provide Putin to shape U.S. opinion.
CFIUS does not have the jurisdiction to review passive investments in transactions in which a foreign investor owns less than 10% of an entity
