Destruction of Lebanese Civilian Aircrafts by Israel Navy Units

The operation, led by Rafael Eitan, resulted in the destruction of 12 or 13 aircraft belonging to Middle East Airlines (MEA), with no reported casualties. The operation lasted for about 40 minutes and the commandos left without encountering resistance. The total value of the destroyed aircraft was estimated at $43.8 million. Notably, an individual named Ali Habib Karki was recognized for his bravery in extinguishing the fires that engulfed the aircraft during the attack.
